"The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps." - Proverbs 16:9
In light of these words of King Solomon, inspired by the Holy Spirit, we humbly state the following:
It is our "plan" to create and distribute a print version of STFMAG that features and promotes the healthiest biblical doctrine we can offer. We plan to offer quarterly issues that present a detailed analysis of theological subjects, books, music, art (both old and new), as well as Christian philosophy & apologetics. We plan to offer 21st century Christians with relevant, contemporary content that will apply directly to today's Christian life as well as today's unbelieving worldview.
We acknowledge that the best Christian literature was written in the context of an unbelieving worldview that has since been replaced with a new unbelieving worldview. This new unbelieving worldview is a combination of philosophic postmodernism, religious syncretism, pragmatic ethics, and general irrationality. Since a new unbelieving worldview is today's backdrop to the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ, it follows that we need updated contextualized content of the old, old story.
We plan on demonstrating the logical conclusion of today's unbelief, and we intend on providing content in dialogue with the "best" the world has to offer. We plan to equip STFMAG readers with the knowledge necessary to dialogue with any unbeliever and be able to show how the presuppositions of unbelief lead to absolute meaninglessness and utter despair (to borrow from Schaeffer).
That, and a whole lot else, is our "plan." But as we read in Proverbs, it is not our plans but the Lord that establishes them. We lift up this request to the Lord our God and petition His blessing on this plan. And as instructed in James 4:15 we say, "if the Lord wills..." (James 4:15)
